Welcome to the Johnson / Schanzenbach Family Home Page.
All things must start somewhere, so I have begun with my grandfather Eugene
Schanzenbach who was born in Germany in 1864. He married his first
wife Louisa Gillard
in Oklahoma in 1889. After Louisa's death, he married Clara
Day Brown, a widow with three children Ester, Harris, and Leonard Brown.
Eugene, Louisa, and Clara and their children are the initial focus of the
following pages.
